In San José, you can contact "Transportes Cóbano" from Terminal 7-10. This bus takes about 6hrs and leaves at 6 am and 2 pm. If you are near the Airport, is better if you take a taxi to the Villa Bonita Bridge in Alajuela.
The Puntarenas Ferry accommodates passengers, but you can also take your car. It travels between the ports of Puntarenas on the Central Pacific Coast and Paquera on the Nicoya Peninsula. The ride takes 70 minutes.
From San Jose, the fastest road is going to be Route 27 to Puntarenas. At the docks, look for the ferry to Paquera. After getting off the ferry, follow the road to Cobano and then head to Santa Teresa. To the right is Santa Teresa and to the left is Mal Pais.
